Prof. Yin Paradies is an Aboriginal-Asian-Anglo Australian who is the Alfred Deakin Professor and Chair in Race Relations and Indigenous Knowledges at Deakin University. His areas of expertise are: the health, social and economic effects of racism, anti-racism theory, policy and practice, race and intercultural relations, and indigenous knowledges.
Shankar is a former Tamil refugee, a Victorian MultiCultural Commissioner, an AntiRacism activist and a refugee employment specialist.
